Deanna Mazur President
Deanna Mazur has more than 25 years of experience in the spirit industry as both a coach and judge. She has coached at Jackson High School, Massillon Washington High School, and Youngstown State University. She currently serves as Head Judge for BITSSA and is dedicated to supporting and elevating cheer programs.
Samantha Riordan Vice President
Samantha Riordan is entering her 26th year of coaching and her 20th year as Head Cheer Coach at Lake High School. She has coached at the freshman, middle school, and varsity levels throughout her career. Samantha also serves as a BITSSA judge and longtime board member.
Kiley Anderson Secretary
Kiley Anderson coached at South Vienna Middle School and spent 13 years coaching at Kenton Ridge High School as both the Head and Assistant Cheer Coach. She currently serves as a BITSSA judge and head judge. Her experience as both a coach and judge continues to benefit the cheer community.
Athena Butcher Board Member
Athena Butcher is entering her 15th year of coaching and her 12th season as Head Cheer Coach at Minerva High School. A former cheerleader and team captain at Ohio University, she began her coaching career at Salem High School. Athena is a co-founder of the Association
Jacci Mothersbaugh Board Member
Jacci Mothersbaugh has been involved in the cheerleading industry for more than 20 years. She previously served as the Head Cheer Coach at Alliance High School, where she oversaw the youth, middle school, and high school cheer programs. Throughout her career, she has gained extensive experience in choreography, program development, and coordinating cheerleading events. Jacci currently serves as a BITSSA judge, where she continues to support and evaluate cheer programs across the region.
Shane Sanders Board Member
Shane Sanders is the owner of Shane Sanders Cheer Choreography, LLC and serves as the Membership Recruiter for BITSSA. He has choreographed numerous regional, state, and national champions and judges for Varsity All-Star. Shane was named the 2024 Midwest Rookie Judge of the Year and was a finalist for the 2025 Cheer Daily Judge of the Year Award.
Brooke Wojcik Board Member
Brooke Wojcik has over 20 years of experience as a cheerleader, coach, and choreographer. Her experience includes winning national titles at Lawton Xtreme Athletics and choreographing award-winning routines across multiple states. She is passionate about developing athletes and helping programs reach their full potential.
Courtney Rees Board Member
Courtney Rees is the Head Cheer Coach at Dover High School and brings more than 20 years of coaching experience. Courtney has coached at the middle school, high school, and collegiate levels throughout her career. Her passion for the sport continues to positively impact athletes and programs.
Casey Mozingo Board Member
Casey Mozingo is entering her 20th year of coaching and her ninth year as Head Cheer Coach at Edison Local. She serves as the OVAC All-Star Cheer Director and a member of the OVAC Cheerleading Committee. In 2024, Casey was named the Nfinity Ohio Coach of the Year.
Shawn Tomlan Executive Director Administration
Shawn Tomlan dedicated more than 25 years to coaching the St. Clairsville Red Devils. After retiring from coaching in 2024, she became the Cheer Director for the Ohio Valley Athletic Conference (OVAC). She remains committed to supporting and growing the sport of cheerleading. Shawn is a co-founder of the association.
Lenee Calland Executive Director Operations
Lenee Calland has more than 25 years of collegiate coaching experience, including time at the University of Akron, Kent State University, and The Ohio State University. She also served as the OASSA Cheer and Dance Coordinator for more than 20 years. Lenee’ is a co-founder of the association.
